I was just browsing the site stats for this new website launched last week. I didn’t expect any visits but I also didn’t expect that people would go to StonyBrookSucks.com and use their forums instead of ours! In the past couple of days, I saw at least 15 new posts and a few more replies on their outdated, unmaintained website! That’s horrible news!

Why would anyone go to an anti Stony Brook website to talk about Stony Brook? I guess it’s all about Google Page Ranking. They have been around for a while therefore they are on top, and when you’re on top, you get a lot more traffic hits. This is what I’ll take back to Stony Brook tomorrow to stress to my team, the importance of quality articles and posts to significantly increase our Google Page Rank. I need to master SEO ASAP!
